Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Hedgetide Limited ("the/our Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a proprietary methodology and intellectual property licensing company, uses cookies and similar technologies on its website ("Site"), associated hosting infrastructure, and platforms where applicable, to offer on-line services (collectively, the "Services"), keep the Site running smoothly, process secure payments via third-party processors, and facilitate detecting fraud. This Cookie Policy also outlines how these technologies concern you ("you," "your," or "Visitor") as a user of the Site and explains how cookies are utilized in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the EU GDPR.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the visited website to recognize your device, store preference and functionality data, improve user experience, and gather analytics for performance and security.
Cookies may be:
Session cookies, which expire when you close your browser;
Persistent cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them;
First-party cookies, set by us directly;
Third-party cookies, set by trusted external partners.
2. Cookie Types in Accordance with Global Data Protection Laws
2.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies - Which the Site Uses
These cookies are essential for the operation of our Site and enable core features such as secure access, account login where applicable, and transaction data processing. Our Site cannot function properly without them.
2.2. Performance and Analytics Cookies
User analytics tools help understand how visitors interact with a website. Our Company has manually disabled those (Clause 7.3 of this Policy). These cookies collect information such as visited pages, time spent, user behaviors, and technical errors. The data is aggregated and used solely to improve the performance, usability, and reliability of the offered services.
2.3. Functional Cookies
Our Site does not use these. Functional cookies allow a website to remember the user's choices, such as preferred language where this option is provided, region, or personalized settings where applicable, enhancing user experience across sessions.
2.4. Advertising and Marketing Cookies
Our Site does not use these. Where applicable, these cookies help deliver advertising relevant to the user's interests, measure campaign effectiveness, and limit how often the user sees an advertisement. These cookies may also allow building anonymous audience segments for targeted messaging.
2.5. Social Media Cookies
Our Site does not use these. Websites use social media plugins that set cookies when the user engages with website features. These cookies may track user's activity depending on user's social media privacy settings.
3. Cookies Used Across Different Regions
As an international company, we strive to comply with regional data protection requirements, including without limitation CCPA/CPRA, UK GDPR, EU GDPR, PIPEDA, APA, APPI, DPDPA, and other applicable privacy regulations. Cookie behavior may vary based on your geographic location to ensure regional compliance, including without limitation consent banners, opt-out rights, and data minimization practices.
4. Collected Information
Information gathered through cookies, including without limitation by third parties, may be used to:
Maintain and operate the Site;
Enhance security and detect fraudulent activities;
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations in the jurisdictions in which we and these third parties operate.
We do not sell personally identifiable information collected through cookies.
5. Third-party Cookies
Third parties may place strictly necessary cookies on your device to support functionality. These third parties may include without limitation payment processors or payment service providers.
Although we may ensure that each partner upholds appropriate data protection standards, their cookie usage is governed in accordance with their own privacy and cookie policies.
6. Managing Cookies
Most web browsers allow deleting, blocking, or restricting cookies. Instructions can typically be found in each browser’s settings menu.
7. Cookie and Privacy Compliance
7.1. Hosting Infrastructure
The Site is built using Google Sites ("Hosting Provider").
7.2. Payment Processing
The Site handles secure checkout externally via Stripe ("Payment Processor").
7.3. Platform Cookies and Tracking
The Hosting Provider automatically manages the hosting infrastructure, server-level cookies, and the default privacy consent banner shown on the Site's domain. To ensure compliance with global data protection laws, including without limitation the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the United Kingdom's General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), and the European Union's GDPR (EU GDPR), the Company has manually disabled all personal and commercial user analytics tracking within the Site's settings.
7.4. Technical Constraints
As the Hosting Provider is a closed, proprietary platform, the Company has no technical ability to alter the forced banner's wording, nor can it embed a persistent custom toggle button to reopen it. Under CCPA/CPRA, UK GDPR, and EU GDPR principles, users must be able to easily change their preferences; however, due to the above-mentioned platform-enforced restrictions out of the Company's technical control, visitors wishing to reset or withdraw their cookie choices after closing the banner must clear their browser cookies or open the page in an incognito/private window. To resolve this, the Company has manually disabled all personal and commercial user analytics tracking, thereby deactivating the cookie consent mechanics as they are no longer legally required under data protection laws due to the absence of non-essential tracking.
7.5. Inherent Platform User Interface Contradictions
The Hosting Provider generates an automated uneditable user interface notification text across specific geographical regions. Due to platform restrictions out of the Company’s technical control, this notice may contain generic system-default language stating that the Site utilizes data tracking and analytics mechanisms (Clause 7.4 of this Policy). The Company formally declares that this automated text is an inaccurate representation of its current data practices. The Company has fully deactivated all operational analytics integration fields (Clause 7.3 of this Policy). Visitors are hereby informed that no personal tracking or non-essential analyses occur on the Site, despite any automated platform notification stating otherwise.
7.6. Payment Processing
Upon clicking or tapping a payment button, the Visitor is redirected to an external secure checkout environment hosted by the Payment Processor. The Payment Processor utilizes its own strictly necessary cookies for fraud prevention and transaction security, which are legally exempt from prior consent requirements under CCPA/CPRA, UK GDPR, and EU GDPR.
8. International Data Transfers
As the Hosting Provider and the Payment Processor operate internationally, cookie data may be processed internationally or in third countries which do not have an adequacy decision from the Visitor's local regulatory authority. The Hosting Provider and the Payment Processor implement appropriate international data transfer safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), while maintaining strict adherence to core data protection principles, including without limitation data minimization and secure processing practices in accordance with relevant legal requirements.
9. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update, amend, revise, or make changes to this Cookie Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our business practices. The "Last Updated" date of this Cookie Policy indicates the most recent revision.
